All vehicles have a schedule of maintenance published by the vehicle manufacturer. This is the minimum service or maintenance that a vehicle requires to remain in service for a specified time. In most cases, the manufacturer will have a standard and a severe duty maintenance schedule. In the Northern Midwest, because of the wide variance in temperature, severe duty schedules should be used.
